The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses commanded Joshua his assistant to chose some of his best soldiers and go down the valley and war against the enemies.

War broke forth, and Joshua and his able men fought gallantly as his master Moses had instructed.

But, Moses, went up to the top of the Hill. The bible said as long as the hands of Moses were UP…..The Israel Army would prevail. But, whenever His hands goes down, Joshua and his men would start loosing . I wonder how many men died during those moments of hands dropping.

In every ministry, there’s always a moment of hands dropping. When all hell would break loose against the LEADER AND HIS FELLOWERS. But then in verse 12 . The bible said when the hands of Moses grew tired and weak, Two men showed up……Aaron and Hur to keep his hands up in the air. As long as Aaron and Hur kept holding up the hands of Moses……Joshua prevail over the Amalekites.

Joshua might have been a trained minister in the field who knew how to put his hands upon the enemies. But, the real heroes of that war were Aaron and Hur who kept the hands of their Leader up.

FLAME KEEPERS ministry came as a burden in my heart. It shall serve as a medium of this ministry where God would raise mighty men of financial propensity to keep the VISION, CALLING, PURSUIT AND THE FIRE of this Ministry BURNING.

We ask the Lord to raise unto us the Aarons and Hurs of this world to show up in the moment of our weakness….so that we may keep the hopes of the broken generation alive.

The Lord prophetically commanded us to GO into all the world and make DISCIPLES OF NATIONS…..that’s a strong burden. That’s a big ASSIGNMENT. It takes Money, Prayers and Human supports for this task to be accomplish. We definitely needs you to bring the OIL and keep the FLAMES BURNING CONTINUALLY.

Interestingly, I’d like to share with us a story a great friend “Pastor Leo Akpan” shared with me a forth night ago. Leo told me about an event that took place among two great ministers we both adore greatly. These are Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith world outreach and Pastor Enoch Adeboye, The senior Pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church worldwide.

Pa Adeboye [as he’s fondly call by all his spiritual sons] was taking a nap after the day’s hectic assignment. Normally, when Pa Adeboye is observing such siesta his aides [assistants] would never allow anyone go near to disturb his peace. But, on this faithful day, Bishop Oyedepo showed up from nowhere demanding the presence of the man of God. As the custom of the house as always been, he [Oyedepo] was denied right of entry and access to Pa Adeboye. On stepping out to retreat back into his car and head home, a voice reverberate from the inner chamber beckoning on Oyedepo to come back. Pa Adeboye had woken up when he learned it was his most cherished son in the ministry who came visiting. Breaking the house protocol, he came down to meet his august visitor.

Oyedepo was not only bewildered by His spiritual leader’s action, he was also humbled at the way the man of God had esteemed his person. With a humble heart he said Sir, I heard you were observing your REST, hence I thought it would be wise for me to go back without disturbing your peace.

Pa Adeboye responded by saying these…. "suffer not thyself for waking me up….For when I’m with you, I AM RESTING."

Friends, there are certain people who bring rest and peace into our lives and ministries. Such people are often greatly endeared to our heart. They are bound with us in covenant.

Without Aaron, Hur, and Joshua, the ministry of Moses would have been eclipse on the hill of Rephidim.
