Then Samuel took a VIAL of OIL, and POURED it on his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over His inheritance?.......

After that thou shall come to the HILL OF GOD, where is the garrison of the Philistines…..and it shall come to pass, when thou art come into the city, you shall meet a company of prophets "COUNCIL OF PROPHETS"……..They shall prophesy….

And the SPIRIT OF THE LORD will come upon thee, and YOU shall prophesy with them, and SHALL BE TURNED INTO ANOTHER MAN.


I Samuel 10: 1, 5 and 6.

Prophet Praise McBassey enjoys the free flow of the five fold ministry gifts. But his Major calling and Office is that of a PROPHET and an APOSTLE.

Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given GRACE according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11 And He gave some, Apostles; and some, Prophets; and some, Evangelists; and some, Pastors and Teachers.

He has worked in the office of a Pastor and Evangelist in the past, and has served under different churches, while also helping in planting churches and fellowship centers in different cities, especially in Nigeria.

With all he has experienced in the ministry that has lasted for over 12 years of active pulpit ministry, the Lord laid a strong burden in his heart to start an Apostolic Movement known as the COUNCIL OF PROPHETS [COP].

Council Of Prophets [COP] is a ministry wing of Praise McBassey ministries, set aside to minister to those who are called into the office of Prophet.

There is a lot of misconception about the Prophetic ministry and their vessels. There are some who are called into that office that are not fully trained or prepared for the assignment, while some are physically/mentally abused, rejected and discarded due to the numerous stories spreading around the corners of Churches regarding the prophetic ministry.

I have seen young up and coming Prophets neglecting their gifts for fear of being branded with those who come into that office with wrong motives. Yes, I understand without any iota of doubt, there are some fake prophets perambulating the corridors of churches with deceptive grandeur, declaring false prophecies in the name of the Lord. Didn’t the Bible itself warn against false prophets showing up in the last days? Yes it did. But I have a problem with church folks who single out the Prophetic vessels for special criticism and scrutiny. The truth is…these falsehoods manifest themselves in every facet of ministry. The search light should be beamed on every church worker and not just those who are called into the Prophetic ministry. A lot of young up and coming great prophets have been frustrated out of the ministry because their pastors, or someone out there was afraid of their divine abilities and gifts.

It is on this premise the Lord laid a strong conviction in my heart to start a movement known as the COUNCIL OF PROPHETS, where folks who are called into the prophetic office are properly trained, equipped and prepared for the assignment.

When Saul walked into the Council Of Prophets, the Spirit of the Lord rubbed the grace of that office upon him, and he began to prophesy just like the Prophets.

The Council Of Prophets shall be a forum where Young prophets are taught the rudiments of Prophecy. They shall be taught the difference between the Office of a Prophet, the ministry of a Prophet, and the gift of Prophecy. A lot of people mistake the gift of prophecy with the Office of a Prophet. Anyone who is called by God into any ministry office can function in the gift of prophecy. They can prophesy as occasion demands……

I Samuel 10:7….And let it be, when these signs are come unto you, that you shall do as occasion demands.
But the office of a Prophet is for those who are called mainly as Prophets or Seers. They hear from God, and declare His Holy counsel unto churches, nations, families, and individuals as the Lord gives them utterance.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but reveal His Secret unto His servants the Prophets.

Modus Operandi

We shall organize a school of ministry, workshops, seminars, and prophetic conferences where we shall meticulously teach, coach, and mentor those who are called into the PROPHETIC OFFICE.

COP will also serve as a unit for pastoral and ministerial conferences, where ministers and ministry workers will be trained, updated, and informed about the WILL OF GOD concerning their lives and ministries.
